MUSESCORE

Music Notation Software

Musescore is a free, easy to use notation software. This app is a must-have for any educator who wishes to teach music theory. I use Musescore on a daily basis, whether that be for composition or making rehearsal tracks. It is comparable to more expensive software such as Finale or Sibelius.

LOGIC PRO X

Digital Audio Workspace

As someone who has had to dabble in asynchronous music creation, Logic Pro X has become yet another invaluable piece of software for me. Not only does it have a wonderful audio editing interface, but a myriad of high quality MIDI instruments and royalty-free loops and samples which make songwriting a breeze. With this, I have created a few virtual choirs and rehearsal tracks which have made connecting with other vocalists incredibly easy. Considering the price of this software, it is comparable to Adobe Audition.

FINAL CUT PRO

Video Editing

Creating videos of digital scores is incredibly difficult to do without a video editor such as Final Cut Pro. With each new composition I release, I use Final Cut Pro to edit the score with the mp3 files to create the delightful videos which can be found on the Compositions page. Considering its price, Final Cut Pro is comparable to Adobe Premiere Pro
