It certainly has been a while! I've been very busy with school and preparing recitals, and I would like to share a bit of what I've done! This semester, I had the great pleasure of putting on a composition recital which featured an abridged reading of the first act of a music I am working on, and I would like to share with you all the opening number entitled "Go!" This piece introduces us to college seniors Blake Hopkirk and Grace Cleary on what would end up becoming one of the most influential days of their lives. Alan Menken is a compositional genius and I've been absolutely enamored with this score since childhood. This is my most recent piano improvisations, which has three notable themes from the movie/musical: "Prologue" "Beauty and the Beast" and "Transformation/Finale."
